1BDF Security Licence Courses

 

 NATIONALLY RECOGNISED TRAINING

The NSW Security Licensing Enforcement Directorate introduced new Training requirements for Security Licensing.
The Provisonal / Conditional Licence System was abolished in November 2012.
 
New entrants to the Industry must now complete the Certificate III in Security Operations qualification (CPP30411) for 1BD or F Licence Classes.
The following Core Units must be completed for 1BDF Licence Classes:
 
Core Units include:
  • BSBFLM303C Contribute to effective workplace relationships
  • BSBWOR301B Organise personal work priorities and development
  • CPPSEC3001A Maitain workplace safety in the security industry
  • CPPSEC3002A Manage conflict through negotiation
  • CPPSEC3003A Determine response to security risk situation
  • CPPSEC3005A Prepare and rpesent security documentation and reports
  • CPPSEC3006A Coordinate a quality service to clients
  • CPPSEC3007A Maintain security of environment
The following Electives must be completed for 1B Licence Class:
  • CPPSEC3009A Prepare and present evidence in court
  • CPPSEC3017A Plan and conduct evacuation of premises
  • CPPSEC3018A Provide for the safety of persons at risk
The following Electives must be completed for 1D Licence Class:2 dogs 2 handlers
  • CPPSEC3010A Manage dogs for security functions
  • CPPSEC3011A Handle dogs for security patrol

The following Electives must be completed for 1F Licence Class:
  • CPPSEC3009A Prepare and present evidence in court
  • CPPSEC3017A Plan and conduct evacuation of premises
  • CPPSEC2013A Protect valuables in transit
  • CPPSEC3050A Load and unload cash in transit in an unsecured environment
  • CPPSEC2027A Load and unload cash-in-transit in a secured environment
  • CPPSEC3051A Implement cash-in-transit security procedures
  • CPPSEC3052A Inspect and test cash-in-transit security equipment
Once candidates have successfuly completed the specific units of competency for each licence class required a Certificate III in Security Operations is issued and they can apply for either a 1B, D or F Licence.
 
Each state has its own set of qualifications and units required for licensing . Check with your licensing body in your state or territory.
