STINGER 12 GAUGE RUBBER BALL ROUND

This translucent 12 gauge shell is loaded with eighteen .32 calibre rubber balls and utilises smokeless powder as the propellant. It is widely used as a crowd management tool by Law Enforcement and Corrections in crown control situations against single, non-compliant subjects. The 12 gauge Stinger is generally considered a low to medium pain compliance round for close range deployment.

The 12 gauge Stinger is intended to be direct or skip-fired at the discretion of the operator, but it is necessary to keep the trajectory low so the projectile spread will not engage the subject above the breast line. When used in either manner, the operator should be adequately trained in the use of Specialty Impact Munitions and have a thorough understanding of the round and considerations for selecting shot placement such as level of threat, target distance, size and clothing.

12 GAUGE DRAG STABILIZED ROUND

The 12-gauge Drag Stabilized® round has secured its place as the Law
Enforcement Communities' number one choice for a specialty impact munition to be used as a dynamic, high energy, single target round for incapacitation or the distraction of a non-compliant, aggressive subject. It has been successfully used against a broad range of individuals from fleeing subjects to "suicide by cop" situations.

The 12-gauge Drag Stabilized® round is intended to be direct fired. The operator should be adequately trained in the use of Specialty Impact Munitions and have a thorough understanding of the round and considerations for selecting shot placement such as level of threat, target distance, size, and clothing.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS
Diameter: 12 gauge
Length: 6.3cm
Projectiles: 1
Velocity: 85mps
Max. Effective Range: 22.9 metres

PROJECTILE SPECIFICATIONS
Material: Tear-shaped bag with tails filled with #9 shot
Size: 12.7 cm
Weight: 40 grams

The 12-gauge Drag Stabilized® round proves most successful for incapacitation when used within its optimal energy range of approximately 20 to 50 feet. The optimal zone offers the necessary energy and accuracy to target the large muscle groups of the buttocks and thigh and even the knees of the subject. These areas provide sufficient pain stimulus and effect the mobility of the subject while significantly minimizing serious or life-threatening injuries.

Statistics show that subject's are rarely incapacitated after only one deployment. Most encounters require two to three shots placed on the subject. It is extremely critical to deploy an accurate round, such as the 12-gauge DS, in order to place these multiple shots in areas were pain might be maximized, while serious injuries are minimized. It is this need for accuracy that led to the development of the drag stabilized design.

The 12-gauge Drag Stabilized® round can also be deployed in crowd control situations to protect the riot line, cover or enhance chemical munitions, or target specific agitators and organizers of the crowd. When used in this fashion, it is primarily both a psychological deterrent and physiological distraction serving as a pain compliance device to either get the crowd (or subject) moving or keeping them at a designated distance.

Performance Characteristics: When fired, the explosive blast is omni-directional and produces between 100-140 dB when fired. Proper application of these munitions will increase the successful completion of many tactical scenarios, riot scenarios and animal/bird control.

Operational Strengths: Most officers are trained with the use of 12 gauge. Uses standard issue weapons, requires no special equipment.

Operational Limitations: Both minimal and maximum ranges should be established by test firings conducted at each installation, depending upon tactical conditions and security requirements of each user. (Fire Hazard Present)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Never aim at or above the Sternum. Less Lethal Ammunition can cause contusions, abrasions, broken ribs, concussions, loss of eyes, superficial organ damage, serious skin lacerations massive skull fractures, rupture of the heart or kidney, fragmentation of the liver, hemorrhages, and death. Medical assistance should be contacted immediately after an actual deployment of a less lethal munition even if no physical injuries appear on subject or subjects.

Penetration, though not a desired effect, can occur regardless of manufacturer or design.

ALS DOOR/LOCK BREACHER
Description: this low cost highly effective device is a frangible projectile made of irn dust and a ceramic binder, which produces an effective means of removing locks and hinges from metal and wooden doors constructed of material up to 16 gauge steel. Limited projection of hazardous debris and collateral damage on the opposite side of the door is accomplished.

History/Background: The DOOR BREACHER was developed to provide an alternative to the battering ran and limit exposure to shots fired from within areas being entered.

Potential Targets/Applications: Tactical scenarios/Forced Entry.

Incapacitation Mechanism/Technology: The DOOR BREACHER is a 12 gauge cartridge which produces 1,489 foot pounds of energy into an area .75" diameter. It is constructed of iron dust bound together with a ceramic composition. It is a frangible disintergrating projectile which turns to iron dust whaen a sufficiently hard object is struck, limiting penetration through secondary walls and collateral damage. The projectile is encased in a polymer carrier ensurng no damage to the bore.

Performance Characteristics: When fired, the projectile produces 1,489 foot pounds of energy to the lock, hinge or hard surface being struck. The 17 gram ceramic steel slug is propelled at approximately 1,600 feet per second when fired. The DOOR BREACHER is extremely destructive and lethal when fired at living tissue.

Operational Limitations: Both minimal and maximum range should be established by test firings conducted at each installation, depending on tactical conditions and security arrangements of each user. The DOOR BREACHER must never be fired with the muzzle of the shotgun less than 1 inch from the door lock.

TKO BREACHING ROUND
The 12-Gauge TKO Breaching Round comes from the designs of Defense Technology's No. 22 and the Frangible Slug produced by Federal Laboratories. It is a translucent 12-gauge shell loaded with a compressed zinc slug. The 12-gauge TKO utilizes smokeless powder at the propellant.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS
Caliber: 12-gauge
Length: 5.9 cm

The 12-gauge TKO® is most widely used as a method to breach door locks or hinges for entry by Law Enforcement and Corrections during tactical operations. When properly deployed, the TKO is capable of defeating door lock mechanisms, door knobs, hinges, dead bolts, safety chains, and pad locks on both wooden or hollow core doors. Upon impact with the target, the zinc slug disintegrates into a fine powder eliminating additional fragmentation.

NOTE: This round should be used in conjunction with the appropriate grenade launcher part ID: 1370.
Do not fire directly through walls or directly at any person. Should not be fired from barrels that are full choke.

WARNING: This product is to be used only by authorized and trained Law
Enforcement, Correction, or Military Personnel. This product may cause serious injury or death to you or others. This product may cause serious damage to property. Handle, store and use with extreme care and caution. Use only as instructed.

LIQUID/POWDER FERRET OC/CS/PRACTICE
The 12-gauge Ferret® comes from the design of Defense Technology's #23 Barricade Penetrating Rounds and the original 12-gauge Ferrets from Federal Laboratories. The FERRET® - 12 is designed to deliver chemical agents in barricade situations from a 12-gauge shotgun.

The Ferret®-12 is a fin-stabilized frangible projectile filled with chemical agent. It affords standoff distance for safety. The Ferret®-12 is
non-burning and suitable for indoor use. Used primarily by tactical teams, it is designed to penetrate barriers, such as windows and hollow core doors. Upon impacting the barrier, the nose cone ruptures and instantaneously delivers a small chemical payload inside of a structure or vehicle.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS
Caliber: 12-Gauge
Length: 6.35 cm
Maximum Range: 91.4 meters
Max. Effective Range: 45.7 meters
Velocity: 305 mps
Active Agent: Liquid CS: 0.71g OC: 0.43g
Powder CS: 0.86 g OC: 0.06 g
Discharge Time: Instantaneous on impact

In a tactical deployment situation, the Ferret®-12 is primarily used to dislodge barricaded subjects from very small confined areas. Its purpose is to minimize the risks to all parties through pain compliance, temporary discomfort and/or incapacitation of potentially violent or dangerous subjects.

The Ferret®-12 is available with either liquid or powder carriers for the agent. Liquid carriers provide additional weight over the powder carrier improving barricade penetration potential. Once delivered, powder carriers tend to keep the agent airborne longer than liquid carriers and may have more effect.

Liquid carriers contain red dye to aid in shot placement. Shot placement and trajectory considerations should be based on hardness of the barrier. However, accuracy is dependent on the operator and the condition of
barrel (cylinder choke is recommended). Double-paned windows and heavy
drapes will reduce or negate delivery of the chemical agent payload.

DIRECT FIRING THE FERRET AT ANY INDIVIDUAL CAN CAUSE DEATH OR SERIOUS BODILY INJURY.
