hk_ump45
The HECKLER & KOCH UMP (Universal Machine Pistol) is another typical member of the HK Weapon system. Ultimate performance combined with user friendliness and highest safety standards make this submachine gun a perfect weapon for military and law enforcement purposes.
The history of the UMP began with the idea of developing a product that had really been missing on the world market in this form: A modern cal. 45 ACP Submachine gun. Prior to the actual development work, investigations were made aimed at all the exact applicant user requirements. A large number of statements was obtained in order to get as complete and topical a picture as possible of what are important features of a submachine gun to the user: Knowledge thus gained has been applied consistently.
The result justifies all the efforts. The UMP is a modern and yet economic submachine gun. It is lightweight, robust, extremely reliable and provides superior performance.
Available in cal. 9 mm x 19, .40 S& W and .45 Auto.

Heckler & Koch MP7

***RESTRICTED TO LAW ENFORCEMENT, CORRECTIONS AND MILITARY ORGANISATIONS ONLY***
mp7_04Design emphasis of modern assault rifle design is governed by the requirements of an infantryman. However, in a modern army, only 20 % of the total number of soldiers are tasked with infantry missions. As a consequence of this, NATO PANEL V defined demands as to a new personal Defence Weapon (PDW), the features of which were to provide the user with superiority in close combat and medium range firefight situations.
Based on this list of demands, Heckler & Koch started a thinking process covering such a new requirement profile. Concerning the ammunition, there was a cooperation with BAE Systems Royal Ordnance Defence, Radway Green, UK.
The result can, without a doubt be designated as a milestone in small arms technology. A new Multi-role Personal Defence Weapon in a new calibre has been created with the designation MP7 (Personal Defence Weapon) in the new 4.6 mm x 30 calibre. The MP7 is a perfect three in one solution: It has the firepower of a submachine gun, the range of an assault rifle and pistol like close combat dimensions.
Because of the low weight, small dimensions and less than half of the recoil of a normal 9 mm x 19 submachine gun the MP7 has the handling features of a cal. .22 lr weapon. It is extremely easy to operate and to control - Due to the low recoil impulse of the ammunition, it is also very steady during burst fire. The rate of fire of the MP7 is at 950 rounds/min. In connection with the brand new 4.6 mm x 30 calibre it exceeds all NATO requirements. The ratio of ballistic power and recoil achieved is more than impressive and sets new standards in the field of small arms:
  • High energy transfer into the target
  • Penetration of the CRISAT protection (1.6 mm of Titanium, combined with 20 layers of Kevlar) at a range of 200 metres. Which is 4 times more than the NATO requirements call for.
All of the above make the MP7 System what it is - the optimum choice of law enforcement and military units in close combat and mid range personal defence situations.
